The Cubs meet every Tuesday night from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm, and from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm. The Cub Leaders are Bren and Sharon and they can be contacted by sending an email to cubs@dalkeyscouts.ie.

Every week they play games and learn about the basics of Scouting. They also go away on hikes and camps. There are normally three or four weekend camps during the year and a longer week long Annual Camp during the summer. In past years the Annual Camp has included places like Walesby Forest in Nottingham, Gurteen Agricultural College in Tipperary, and back in 2000 the Cubs went with the Scouts for 2 weeks to Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. In 2006 the Cubs went to Killary Adventure Center in Co. Galway. In 2007 the Cubs went to Kandersteg again with the Scouts and Ventures, and they went to Gurteen Agricultural College in 2008. This summer we went back to Walesby Forest in Nottingham for a week in July. We are thinking about next years camp at the moment and will let you know as soon as we decide where we are going to go...

The Cubs normally try to hold an outdoor meeting once every 4 to 6 weeks. This can include things like going Bowling, trips to the Cinema, going up Dalkey Hill, and sometimes just holding the meeting in the field outside the Den. There are also County activities through out the year, with all the other Cub Groups in the area, including a number of competitions and quizzes...
